So if you have read the previous blog post “Timeline of my relationship with food through the years.…. blog post I recommend reading it first and then this blog post. Here is the LINK to that!!!
I say that because I share a bit of my story and why these resources in this blog post were needed to help ME start moving my life in a healthier and life giving direction while recovering.
So going back to September 2019 when I stopped being vegan and vegetarian (was going back and forth for years on them 2), there were specific resources, videos, podcasts, influencers, and YouTubers that helped in my journey to recovery. So in this blog post, I am going to share all of that.!!!!

This video gives insight into books that I ordered from her, she is a Certified and Registered Holistic Nutritionist. I purchased some books from that video, and they have been of great blessing to my journey. (If you can, purchase them all). She has Amazon links in the description of her video if you need to purchase them. Amazing recommendations from her part!!!! Yess read the books once you get them.

Going back to the books Meghan recommended, How to Heal Your Metabolism: Learn How the Right Foods, Sleep, the Right Amount of Exercise, and Happiness Can Increase Your Metabolic Rate and Help Heal Your Broken Metabolism by Kate Deering. This book is my holy grail book. If you want to just purchase one book Megahan recommends, purchase this one. This book has been of great impact on my life and in gaining truthful knowledge. There are even recipes and insight on what a supportive diet looks like. Highly recommend it.

If you’re looking for foods that can give you energy throughout the day this book is great. Plus gives you information about certain foods and much more. A wow book!!!
2.) Prescription for Nutritional Healing second edition by James F. Balch, M.D. & Phyllis A. Balch, C.N.C
-AMAAAZING book, the title of the book says it all. Natural remedies and ways to help combat many things in life rather than just taking medicine.

1.) Stephanie Buttermore

How do I even begin, Stephanie Buttermore is a YouTuber who I am so inspired by. On her youtube channel about page, it says: “I’m a 29-year-old cancer research scientist who loves fitness”. She is also someone who started the “All In” journey recommended by the book “No period. now what?: A guide to regaining your cycles and improving your fertility, Rinaldi, N. J., Buckler, S. G., & Waddell, L. S”. She is the only YouTuber I saw do the “All In” journey and started doing it around the same time as I did.
-She started her “All In” Journey in June 2019, and I started my journey in September 2019. I followed along her journey and just seeing someone else do something new and seeing her POV of the situation was fun and eye-opening.

She used to have more content on her youtube about recovery from food and her journey but she deleted them from youtube(those videos were the bomb). Nevertheless, the content she still has up is rewarding!!

B.)Resources that helped me start the “All In” food journey:
BOOK: No period. now what?: A guide to regaining your cycles and improving your fertility, Rinaldi, N. J., Buckler, S. G., & Waddell, L. S.
-This book is a game changer, everything in this book is a must-read. The authors in this book started what is called the “All In” which is helping women across the globe regain their cycles back and live fulfilling lives rather than restricting ones!!!!(I actually was missing my cycles for a few months, but not too long starting the all in journey I obtained my period cycles back and I couldn’t be happier. So can truthfully say this book is a MUST BUY!!!!

-Also, an author of “No Period Now What” Nicola J Rinaldi, has a podcast with Florence Gillet called “The All In Podcast”. Another resource for you all that has been of great value. Including many testimonies and knowledge for you all to soak in. LINK
Similarly, there is a website from Nicola J. Rinaldi: NoPeriodNowWhat.com, with various resources if you want to work 1-1s with her, join a community around recovery “All In”, get free downloadable concerning people trying to recover from hypothalamic amenorrhea, and much more content on this site.
To conclude:
These are some resources that have brought clarity plus other things.In the future, if I find more resources that are worthwhile I will make an additional blog post!!!
